Oprah Sets ABC Special on Ozempic & More Weight Loss Drugs

If you have become aware that long-standing board member Oprah Winfrey left Weight Watchers after many years you probably know that there was not a lot of detail explained as to why that is. But likely it is because of fundamental vision disagreements and conflicting opinions about what should be the way forward. Oprah carries a lot of clout in anything she is involved with, and we can assume that her role on the Weight Watchers board was no exception. Oprah has been on Ozempic and she is raved about how it helped her lose weight.

Did you know you can buy Ozempic from Canada and save upto 80% compared to local pharmacies in USA? Check our prices and availability now.

Do you think Weight Watchers is pleased that someone with such a prominent audience is endorsing weight loss medication? Not likely, and for obvious reasons. Enough about that but we can assume that the very rousing endorsement Oprah Winfrey gave Ozempic did not sit so well with an organization that is very much a business relying on people seeing their weight loss aims to be ‘hopeless’ unless they get some help with it. In her recent TV special Oprah has stated that without Ozempic she would not have had the same level of success.

Throughout it, Oprah talks about her long struggles with getting to a lower and more healthy weight, and of course that is something that applies to thousands of people in North America – men and women equally. She might love to fit into her clothes better, but she also loved the idea of finishing an entire peach pie before noon. But over time her resolve improved, and she did start making the sacrifices required to lose weight. But the weight still did not come off to the extent she needed it to until Oprah was on Ozempic.

Not Phooey

There will be disbelievers no matter what it is, and there are already some saying that weight loss is nearly impossible for some is phooey. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but we believe those who have 1st-hand experience have an opinion that carries more weight, and this is how we feel about Oprah on Ozempic. In the TV special she said as much as to say there is no phooey to her insistence at all, and that Ozempic was so integral into here finally achieving her weight loss goals.

But in the bigger picture the message was that there should not be any stigma attached to people who turn to weight loss medications like Saxenda or a Type 2 diabetes medication with off-label uses for weight loss like Ozempic to get rid of the ‘stubborn’ fat that remained even after they had initial success with weight loss. It needs to be more socially acceptable, and we agree with her.

Comedian and actor Amy Schumer is another person in the public eye who has been forthcoming about using Ozempic for weight loss and stressing the judging someone for using it is unbecoming behavior for people. With Amy and Oprah on Ozempic having success, looking better, and feeling healthier, what is to dislike about someone achieving that? We say good for them!
