If your allergies are at their worst in the spring then you probably have a pollen allergy, or hay fever. Hay fever is caused by pollens that are dispersed through the air and can then be inhaled by humans. Pollen counts are usually highest from 5am to 10am, so if your allergies are particularly bad you should try to stay indoors during those times. If you must go out for an extended period while pollen counts are high you should take a shower and put on a fresh change of clothes when you get back indoors.

If you are going to be outdoors, try to stay cool and dry so that pollen does not stick to you. If you are going to be working in the garden or mowing your lawn, wear a disposable comfort mask.
