Vivelle Dot is a female hormone usually given to women who no longer are able to produce the proper amount of hormones (i.e., estrogen).

The generic Vivelle Dot patches are larger and oval in shape.

Cautions:

SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medication includes vaginal irritation, dizziness, lightheadedness, stomach upset, bloating, nausea, weight changes, increased or decreased interest in sex, breast tenderness and redness at application site.
