Description:

Prescription required for orders placed from the USA

Perlane is an injection that can get rid of wrinkles and enhances areas of your face immediately. Some of those areas include the lips, superficial lines around the mouth, forehead lines, and smile lines. Perlane is a non-animal Hyaluronic Acid, manufactured by a unique method in the Q-Med Laboratories in Sweden. Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occuring substance in the body so it naturally dissipates into the body with time. All living organisms have Hyaluronic Acid in their bodies. In humans this is the substance that creates volume in ones face, giving it a healthy, young appearance. You can imagine what Hyaluronic acid does for a face when you consider the rounded face of a child, which forms into adulthood, and eventually receeds toward the skull causing furrow lines. When these are augmented by Perlane, this crystal clear Hyaluronic Acid combines with your own to revitalize the face. What about pre-tests? There are no pre-tests! Some bio-degradable implants require a test because they have been extracted by animals, but Perlane is not, and therefore there is no risk of allergic reaction. Common uses for Perlane™ include:

• correcting folds and wrinkles of the face
• acne scars
• nasolabial folds (between your nose, mouth and cheeks)
• horizontal (upper forehead) frown lines
• glabellar (lower forehead) frown lines
• chin augmentation
• depressed corners of the mouth, also known as marionette lines
• lip enhancement, including treatment of the edges of the lips and wrinkles around the lips to stop lipstick from leaking from your lips onto the surrounding skin

Other uses for Perlane™ include:
• filling subcutaneous skin defects
• filling of orbits of the eyes
• augmentation of cheek bones, chin or bridge of the nose
• correcting some irregularities of the nose
• filling small facial bone or hand bone defects
• augmentation of the nipples

Directions:

Perlane & Restylane can be used in combination with each other. For example, a deep fold can first be treated with PERLANE, then Restylane™ can be used at a later date if you wish to correct residual lines in that area. Restylane Fine Lines™ can be used for thin, superficial lines, for example around the eyes, around the mouth and on the forehead. Many people are looking for that slightly fuller shape for their chin, or perhaps a rounder more sensuous line along the cheeks or lips. Just a touch of additional volume can make an enormous difference to your appearance.

Unlike collagen (which lasts 3-6 months), the benefits of Perlane™ & Restylane™ treatment should be visible for 6-12 months, depending on the location of the treatment and the nature of your skin. For example, highly mobile areas like the lips tend to require at least a touch-up treatment after about 6 months. Areas where there is less movement may only require additional treatment after 12 months. Experience has shown that smaller amounts of Perlane™ & Restylane™ are often needed for maintenance than for the initial correction.

All Injections must be injected by a practitioner who has medical and specialist training. The practitioner must be medically qualified.

Cautions:

A 27G needle is co-packed with each product of PERLANE. Too small a needle will damage the gel, which might influence the duration of the product in the tissue. Do not, for example use a 30G when injecting PERLANE.

The shelf life for PERLANE is one and a half years after the production date.

Ingredients:

The products consist of stabilized hyaluronic acid 20mg/ml and physiologic sodium chloride solution, ph7 qs. They are clear, transparent and viscous gels supplied in glass syringes.

The FDA, due to the current state of their regulations, has taken the position that virtually all shipments of prescription drugs imported from a Canadian pharmacy by a U.S. consumer will violate the law.
