Description:

Alvesco belongs to the class of medications called inhaled corticosteroids and is used to treat asthma. It helps to control symptoms and prevent asthma attacks by decreasing inflammation in the lungs and thereby opening the airways. However, it will not relieve an asthma attack that has already started. Ciclesonide usually starts to work within 24 hours, but it may take 1 or 2 weeks to see the full benefit.
