Chemical Name: Fluconazole (floo-KOE-na-zole)

Diflucan is a TABLET but CANNOT be split in half.

Diflucan is used to treat pneumonia, meningitis, and fungal infections of the mouth, throat, liver, kidneys, heart, urinary tract, and abdomen. It also has been used to treat vaginal infections and oral thrush in certain patients. It may also be used to prevent infections after bone marrow transplant.

Cautions:

SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medication includes upset stomach, loss of appetite, altered taste, diarrhea or loose stools, headache, dizziness and fatigue.
